Rebecca Kempton is a multi award winning full time professional photographer who is based in the beautiful Wairarapa town of Greytown. Rebecca holds a Master of Photography Distinction I bar with the NZ Institute of Professional Photography and has been finalist 4 times in the past few years for NZ Documentary and Landscape Photographer of the Year. 

Rebecca absolutely adores the stunning light and landscape here in the Wairarapa and loves photographing the world around her in a way that captures the mood, textures and shapes in the scene producing abstract and painterly imagery.  Rebecca likes to think of her camera as her tool to create art like a painter would use their brushes and often uses movement and blends several images in camera as techniques to compose her finished piece.  'I have a sense of excitement when I can see something forming in my camera when out shooting - it is usually an organic process, working with the scene in front of me and moving towards an image that sparks that emotion in me, that moment when I know I have it, yes!'
